Who Wants To Make Themselves A Millionaire Essays -
Who Wants To Make Themselves A Millionaire Why are we working to make other people rich? Is it because we are trained to in school? Or is it because big business makes an offer we can't refuse? I think that at an early age we are taught to be a good employee rather than live life in a business state of mind. At an early age we are taught to be employees. We are taught to work together to help us socialize with others in our work. We are taught to follow directions to help us be better employees, receive successful jobs, and succeed in the jobs we do get. I know that following directions and socializing with others are important in developing as a person, but we also need to be taught a better business state of mind. By this, I mean we should learn how to develop ideas to become our own boss. We are taught at early ages to make good grades. Why is this? I believe it is because we are taught that good grades insure better jobs, which is to an extent true. Bill Gates, Lawrence Ellison, and Paul Allen, the top three on Forbes' richest people list, had ideas, developed them, and became successful. In Rich Dad, Poor Dad, the author states that wealthy people stay wealthy by teaching kids a business state of mind; whereas, middle class people tend to teach their kids to be an employee (Kiyosaki 58). There are middle class people who become rich, but I think it's because they got out of the employee state of mind. An example is Tom Reynolds; he has a five-year-old business and fewer than 50 employees, but is approaching six million dollars in sales. I think he was goal-driven to become rich and this ambition got him from middle class to millionaire status (Silverstein T8) When I used to work at Best Buy I would think of people like Tom Reynolds who progressed out of the middle-class. While I was getting paid six dollars and fifty cents an hour, like most regular employees, Richard Schultz, the founder of Best Buy, was making hundreds of millions of dollars a year. This wasn't making a lot of sense to me. Why did everyone else work while he got to relax and become rich? It's because he had an idea and developed it. Some people are born workers. I know we need workers to make a society, but work wasn't and isn't for me. My friend and I had an idea of advertising on the Internet. With a few learn-how-to books and some time, we had created our own business. I think that like Tom Reynolds we were goal driven to become successful. I think that without dreams and ambitions one cannot succeed. Without dreams and ambitions what does one have to look forward to? I may not be making millions of dollars, but I have all the time I need, and I still make money. Most people are happy with their life as an employee, and that is wonderful. Without them, we wouldn't have fast food and other needed services. There are also a lot of people unhappy with their salary, but they work it out. If they had been taught a better business state of mind, I think they could have found ways to be happier with their lives. When I interviewed a friend of mine who is an employee that wants to find a better job, I asked him six questions. What kind of job would you rather have, if not current employer, and why don't you have it; what types of tasks do you do daily; in ten years would you still want to be where you are today; compare and contrast the labor you do for your boss and the hours worked each week; as a child do you think you were taught to be an employee or a business person; and do you think that people being unhappy with their jobs is a problem in America? He tells me that he would rather be in business for himself making his money work for him or wor k as a laser technician. He did go to

The design involved in the erection of the structures. The development of casinos has promised to increase the returns needed to achieve community development, and provide employment ventures for the co mmunity members who are presented with the challenge of adapting to harsh environmental provisions. The states within the US hold a defined measure to offer developmental attributes to community member. Cincinnati in Ohio has identified the casinos as a leading measure to accord the attributes needed to acquire returns that boost developmental activities. The processes to develop the casinos in Cincinnati have been linked to the presentations that the casinos hold to developing the area, with the provision placed on their location and result accorded. The voters in Ohio had passed an amendment to accord the approval of casino construction within the state. Though the gambling problem identified, they allowed the bill to be passed to favor economic progress (Wynnà µ 111). The casinos in Cincinnati were to be constructed on a parking lot that had occupied a space of 20 acres. However, this location had not favored the development attributes that had been anticipated to limit ideologies centered on progress (CottÃ'â" 19). The motive for the construction of the casinos had depended on building the outlook of the downtown area with the infrastructure focused on eliminating unstable environmental conditions (Coolidge). With the development attribute in place, there was the promise to accord features to be incorporated in the new look of Cincinnati. Before the construction of the casinos, there was the need to analyze the impacts of the structures on the development of the available provisions within the scenery. The entity had been su bjected to inform on the possible threats that the casinos would present on the community that had been composed of a wider demographic. The Broadway Commons District Study was included in the analysis of the impacts of the development of the structure to avoid a bias argument on the need to include the public in decisions regarding development attributes (LeMaster). The strategy applied the incentive from small organizations with Bridging Broadways an example to engage in open forums to share ideologies on the construction measures. The meetings managed to acquire the desired measures that encouraged members to be informed on the construction process. The meeting had been completed to accord extensive design inputs that developed the resources leading to the casinos for easy access. An example of a casino to be developed in the area has been the renowned Horseshoe brand that promises to build a modern branch within the downtown areas (Horseshoe Casino). The creation of features to include food courts and adjacent entertainment system would create the link desired to the community through interaction, with pedestrian input and external visitors included in the calculation of the structure formation. The construction of the casinos had been a partnership effort that involved non-profit generating organizations and staff within the city. Bridging B roadwayââ¬â¢s leading mission is to help attain the sustainable form of development required to accord the area developmental traits. This project had been aimed towards generating development of the economy and issue and adding opportunity to the members that desired the chance to participate in developmental projects. The casinos contribute to the development of a transport system that promises to develop business opportunities and pedestrian access form that links the neighborhood to the visitors within the casino. The outstanding design input within the casino is the outward facing provision included in the design that promote the accessibility suggested uplifting the opportunities presented by the members of Cincinnati community. The chief desire presented in the completion of these casinos includes generating a positive relationship with clients who promise to develop the business into flourishing opportunity within the community. With the unique design and positioning allowing an added number in the community, the casinos attract over 6 million visitors to the community annually who generate high revenue (Whiteman et al). The casinos build the economy of Cincinnati with an estimated revenue of $350 million dollars annually. The underutilized downtown space has found the input to develop the community in a significant manner that offers sustainability during a harsh economic period. The design inputs placed on the development of the casinos have promised to find the perfect fit to place the structures in a competitive spot. The competition under consideration involves eliminating the threat of including external resources to serve as leading entertainment forms in leading sites within the community. The careful selection of the applied strategies in construction of a stable structure to avoid accidents would take the opinion of qualified professionals who promise to deliver substantial results to avoid future misfortunes (Whitaker). The casinos located within Cincinnati have all included the sole purpose needed to attain development within the community. The competition has been placed in the capacity of the structures to hold a maximum number of clients. With the location in Cincinnati, the measures needed by the city officials to pass policies to promote development are included in their budget. The casinos located in Cincinnati have been named and competition elimination has been surfaced through expanding the facilities. Horseshoe that promises to open in Feb 2013 would find location in the Broadway Commons situated in the northeast junction within downtown Cincinnati (Landers). The casino is projected to occupy a space of 354, 000 sq feet with restaurants and ample parking space. Argosy casino has been projected as a gambling establishment to contribute in the community development. Belterra, Vevay features a fifteen-storey building with 308 rooms for guests and spa facilities (Cincinnati USA). Grand Victoria, Rising Sun, casino finds the location within the Ohio river a few minutes west of Cincinnati. The Hollywood Casino has been located in Lawrenceburg, few minutes from Cincinnati to accord services within the 24 hours all days. These are the casinos that have developed the economic output of the community with the promise to accord added opportunity to the unemployed members. The satisfaction needed is acquired through offering affordable packages with visitors promised a magical tour of Cincinn ati. Through advertisement on websites and leading articles, the casinosââ¬â¢ policies and packages are relayed to the public with the booking option provided online. The websites created to support these casinos have also emerged as the renowned measures to sell the packages offered to visitors. The increasing number of casinos within the community promise to offer opportunities for healthy competition needed to sustain development. The increasing visitorsââ¬â¢ number has prompted the expansion of the available spaces to accommodate an added tourist number. The horseshoe casino has been developed to cater for the constraint that limited access to the community through the pedestrian method in travelling. When the work is completed, Horseshoe promises to offer the competition needed in developing Cincinnatiââ¬â¢s economy t the desired level. Conclusion Cincinnati within the state of Ohio holds famous casinos that have helped in the development of the economic status within the environment (Eà °dÃ'â"ngton 183). However, the competition presented with the increasing number of these facilities may develop monopoly in service delivery. There is the need to expand the advertising strategies to attract visitors from other states and external countries to contribute to the revenue generation. This provision is necessary to accord the Cincinnati population the opportunity to gain employment in the facilities. Through the casino business, Ohio has witnessed a significant growth in articulating measures needed to implement development policies (Plain Dealer Staff). Cincinnati has been the leading example of the set establishment in completing the opportunities that may be granted the populating. Development attributes needed to upgrade the casinos and design the preferred structure is boosted by public incentive. This is applied through th e forums that promote the participation of the members and community input in designing the facility. The outstanding features of the casino should include accommodation and spacious parking to incorporate foreign visitors. Casinos are linked to gambling that present risky provisions to the development attribute of the participant hence the need to provide regulation without hindering the economic contribution (Wà °lkà µr à °nd Bà °rnà µtt 182).

challenge Faced BY Modern accommodation Manager
Modern accommodation agents and companies in the contemporary global world are facing various challenges. The issues related to contemporary accommodation problems can be linked to market demands, increased competition, technological advancements and customer needs (Aurecongroup.com, 2017). Another global challenge that seems to be a major problem for accommodation agencies is the lack of sufficient availability of resources and utilization of the same resources.à For instance, agencies may require adequate resources to build on the best satisfaction of their clients' needs. Accommodations department may also lack adequate support for management of their resources thus leading to mismanagement of the company available resources when resources are mismanaged especially in an entrepreneurial accommodation industry, other areas or departments within the organization are also likely to be affected since accommodation often entails several packages that are interrelated to each other. The aim of this assignment is to address factors related to accommodation challenges. The paper shall also discuss remedies for proper customer service in the accommodation industry. Outsourcing is a business strategy that entails duty or role sharing among companies or organizations.à Outsourcing process occurs when an organization or an individual company takes the role of performing or providing products and services on behalf of other businesses (Wuyts, 2015).The most organization often applies the outsourcing strategy in the verge of saving costs.à Outsourcing can be both beneficial and non-beneficial. Outsourcing may prove to be cost saving when properly utilized. Outsourcing is the most appropriate measure that hotel managers can take into consideration in ensuring that their customer needs are met. Outsourcing in hotel management is viable as it is aimed towards ensuring that clients get access to quality services from experts (Johnson et al. 2014). Outsourcing makes hotel management easier as it attracts more customers to the business chain because outsourcing is more often than not based on professional rather than just poor practices (Langer, Mani, and Srikanth, 2014). Large accommodation industries should consider adopting an outsourcing practice in the management of their business. This is because outsourcing will help the hotel cooperative to develop effective customer relations, maintain stability and increase the hotel income earnings. Departments That Can Utilize Outsourcing Departments that can use outsourcing in the hotel management industry are as follows; Outsourcing is an important approach to hotel industries; hotel managers should adopt outsourcing practices due to the following reasons. First, outsourcing enables managers to focus on primary business in the given department. Managers adopting the outsourcing practice perceive it as a more appropriate practice as services can be partially shared among specific qualified individuals or company thus ensuring quality (Gunasekaran, 2015). Secondly, outsourcing is an open approach as hotel managers can choose to delegate an entire or partial duty to an individual or other organizations. Nevertheless, partial outsourcing is often more encouraged in hotel industries so as to avoid disappointments in the delivery of services (Lacity and Willcocks, 2014). For instance, a hotel that conducts or connect to their customers via online platforms should consider outsourcing more than one IT system company; this will enable the hotel managers to maintain customer communication balance in case of failures of one of the departments. Thirdly, outsourcing helps hotel managers in establishing proper on-site assistance for employees thus leading to better performance. for example outsourcing of outside professionals to enhance employees professional skills promotes better and improved performance among the trained employees. Fourthly, outsourcing help bridge employees gap within the organization while at the same time saving on the capital costs. For example, partial outsourcing of services to other agencies helps reduce the work load of employees within the hotel. Outsourcing also helps in covering up for organizations that have few employees and ensures that employeeââ¬â¢s workload is not overstretched (People matters. in, 2017) Fifthly, outsourcing in the hotel industry is a sure way of fulfilling customer demands satisfaction (Research, 2017). This is because outsourcing often involves engagement of qualified personnel in given areas thus promoting quality delivery of services to clients. à Finally, outsourcing ensures efficient operational services as it exposes the organization to different specialized vendor systems this allowing the hotel managers an opportunity to choose from the most preferred provider service. Drawbacks Of Moving To An Outsourced Organization The first drawback of outsourcing in hotel management is the quality alteration. Sometimes outsourcing may not prove to be the best approach for managers who wish to maintain service quality to customers. This is because partial outsourcing to different organizations may differ regarding quality thus creating a different version of a given product and service rather than creating consistency. The second drawback for outsourcing is that it may lead to employeesââ¬â¢ layoff due to its cheaper costs (Dolgui and Proth, 2013).à Some employees may end up losing their jobs in an instance where an organization decides to employ an outsourcing approach. For example, the hotel management online payment approach may lead to losing of jobs for cashiers and accountants. Outsourcing is also associated with labor issues in instances whereby employees from different organization lack sufficient knowledge of what is expected of them. The third drawback of outsourcing is the ignorance to legal compliance and security. Some managers often assume acquiring formal legal documentation of the outsourcing process thus leading to conflicts in cases of breach of contracts or agreement. It is important for investors to ensure that the outsourcing process is legal and that both concerned parties retain a copy of the agreement. Another outsourcing problem is that it may not solve all the customer needs especially in a situation whereby outsourcing is granted to a different nation with dissimilar interest to the organization in place (Carruth et al., 2013).à For instance, giving a call center to a country that speaks the different language to that of several customers may lead to customer demand dissatisfaction. Accommodation management planning sector is influenced by three main factors which are; priority, company resource and forecastingà (Smallbusiness.chron.com, 2017). Most accommodation industries often aim at generating revenues thus altering the planning process of other projects within the industry. For instance, an accommodation agency may give more priority to customer satisfaction and ignore investing in active planning processes that will enhance customer satisfaction. Lack of sufficient company resources may prevent accommodation managers from achieving their planned goals. For example, an organization may have an intention of expanding its customer capacity and capital butt lack enough financial resources to do so. Inappropriate forecasting in accommodation management makes it difficult to plan for the success achievement of the accommodation services (Pereira, 2016). For instance, a forecast in the change of the accommodation material prices may interfere with the accommodation agency planned budget. Some of the issues contributing to controlling influence in accommodation management are; culture, financial administration, and customer service à Culture influence on accommodation management is prevalent in global accommodation services whereby people from the diverse community would prefer other accommodation services to others due to various cultural services offered (Ali & Amin, 2014). Customer service provision is a major controlling influence in accommodation management as it determines the incomes earning of an agency. Proper handling of customers enhances better accommodation agency growth while poor customer service limits an agency controlling influence for growth. Financial management determines the controlling influence in accommodation management.à Proper financial management enhances the strategic development of the set goals while poor fiscal management makes it difficult for an organization to control their expenditure. The first importance of handling customer and their needs is to ensure that client's grievances are heard and appropriately addressed thus ensuring customer satisfaction with the service offered to them. The other relevance of handling customer needs id to enhance the better relationship between customers and an enterprise. A well-developed customer relation promotes a company brand as it creates trust a feeling of allegiance among customers to the enterprise. Addressing customer needs and handling customers contributes to organization stability as happy customers often have a trend of coming back for better services. Therefore, addressing customer needs and managing customers in a friendly manner will contribute to the increase of organization net incomes. Handling customers with respect is also a method that an organization can use in popularizing their brand as customers are more likely to give positive feedback on the services they have received. Positive feedback, especially in business scenario, has the capacity of growing organization segmentation as positive feedback attracts more clients (Cambra-Fierro, Melero and Sese, 2015) Accommodation is one of the most delicate departments in the service industry, overcoming accommodation challenges needs the manager to address issues dealing with planning and proper customer management as these are the two largest contributors to accommodation challenges (Berman, 2015). An alteration of resource within one part or department of the accommodation industry may thus cause interference of the entire unit. Ali, F. and Amin, M., 2014. Chronic Condition - Essay Example ferrals the patient needs. The goals of this are established to ensure a thorough assessment of chronic diseases and their impact on patientââ¬â¢s physiology, as well as their psychology. Body End-stage renal disease, according to Patel (2009) is the ââ¬Å"complete, or almost complete, failure of the kidneys to function. The kidneys can no longer remove wastes, concentrate urine, and regulate many other important body functionsâ⬠. This disease can come about when the kidneys are no longer able to carry out their normal function. It is often seen with the kidneys functioning at less than 10% of normal functions (Patel, 2009). This disease is known to worsen within 10-20 years, before reaching end-stage levels. Patients at this stage require dialysis or a kidney transplant. Mostly, this disease is caused by diabetes and hypertension. In end-stage renal disease, the urine volume may decrease or may even stop, and patients afflicted with this disease require tests to assess the levels of the following: potassium, sodium, albumin, phosphorous, calcium, cholesterol, magnesium, complete blood count, and electrolytes (Patel, 2009). These tests would help establish the general condition of the patient and establish the necessary remedies which must be undertaken to ensure adequate care. Experience of your patient compared with the typical lived experience of those with this condition Donna, 37 years old, was first admitted two years prior to her current admission, with complaints of insomnia and frequent headaches. She expressed that she often woke up in the middle of the night and had trouble getting back to sleep soon after. She also experienced increasing bouts of headaches which could not be relieved by pain relievers. She also described feeling generally weak and easily exhausted. She also complained of hiccupping frequently, sometimes burping frequently, even when she has not eaten anything. Her husband also noted that she seemed to be darker as compared to before when she had lighter skin. She then sought consult with her GP who ordered some initial tests including blood work and urinalysis. Her initial results, prompted more tests to be undertaken until repeated confirmatory tests indicated that she had high creatinine levels which strongly indicated a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. She was later admitted for AV Fistula (AVF) surgery in preparation for her dialysis. A month after her AVF, she was scheduled for dialysis. A kidney transplant was also recommended for her. Initial cross-matching tests from immediate relatives revealed no organ matches. In the meantime, her name was entered in the waiting list for patients needing new kidneys. Meanwhile, she was required to have weekly injections of erythropoietin, as well as daily medications for a variety of drugs which are meant to manage her potassium, sodium, as well as blood pressure. After one year from her initial consultation, her creatinine levels increased to levels re quiring dialysis.

The Role Of Civil Disobedience To Fight Social Injustice Essay Example for Free
The Role Of Civil Disobedience To Fight Social Injustice Essay All contents of the law are not always favorable to everyone. In one way or another, at least one law is disagreeable to one person. Civil disobedience was first conceptualized by Henry David Thoreau, a philosopher, development critic, tax resister, transcendentalist, naturalist and an American author. He was once arrested for not paying poll tax. It was his choice not to conform to the law by paying poll tax because he was not in favor of where the money will go. Thoreau believed that the money tax he will pay for will be for the funding of the Mexican War, which he was not in favor of at all (DuBrin, 2008). Civil disobedience refers to an active refusal to adapt the commands and demands of a government or a power currently occupying the land or to put it shortly, refusal to abide by the law. It is simply not conforming to whatever the government is feeding its people. One main identifying factor of civil disobedience, though, is that resistance, in this context, is not violent. Scholars call civil disobedience a different shape of respectful disagreement. Civil obedience is being practiced widely in different parts of the world. The Indians, for example, practiced civil disobedience for their struggle for freedom. According to Dr. Jyotsna Kamat, a respected teacher, researcher and broadcaster in India, today, civil disobedience in India was as simple as non-cooperation. An All-White Commission as a political platform in India was detested by Indians. Civil disobedience was done by boycotting the laws of all the political and social platforms in India. First, they were repressive. Second, these were in favor of the British Parliament only. Even the members of Simon Commission in India had members from the British Parliament alone. Mahatma Gandhi, a political and spiritual leader in India, led civil disobedience in India and made it a point to avoid violence at all costs. Indias purpose was to paralyze the Indian government. All supports were withdrawn, and India became highly revolutionary. Gandhi, among many other leaders in India like Amar Patel, led civil disobedience in India because the laws of the government were considered repressive (Kamat, 2005).

Thomas Peden Mr. Schoon World History 4 December 2013 Spartan Life In 7th century, Ancient Greece a fierce group of warriors called the Spartans were the best in warfare. But life for the Spartans was not easy. As infants their strengths were tested. Babies would be bathed in wine rather than water to test their reaction and the belief it will make them strong. If a baby were ill born it would most likely be left on a nearby hill or used as a slave. If the baby passed the inspection to see if it was healthy, it would be kept to soon become a warrior. The babies were taught to not fear the darkness or solitude, and frequently ignored when crying. At age seven Spartan males were taken away from home and put into military barracks, the young soldiers were instructed in scholastics, warfare, stealth, hunting and athletics. At age 12, recruits were deprived of all clothing except for a red cloak and forced to sleep outside on beds they made by themselves from reeds. To ready them for a life in the field, the boy soldiers were also encouraged to scavenge and even steal their food, though if detected they were punished. Spartans were encouraged to fight and inflict pain to fellow recruits. At age 20 Spartans had to a difficult test to graduate and become citizens. The soldiers received the aristocratic citizenship. If they failed the test they became middle class. Classes were based on accomplishment rather than birth. If the young men passed, they continued to live in the barracks and train as soldiers but were required to wed to produce new young Spartans. The state gave them land, which was tended by slaves. At age 30 the Spartans could finally live with there families, but they still had to train. Finally at age 60 a Spartan ... ...nd peace was maintained. The Lacedaemonians were not content with simply sending aid to Sicily; they also resolved to take the war to the Athenians. The Corinthians, the Spartans, and others in the Peloponnesian League sent more reinforcements to Syracuse, in the hopes of driving off the Athenians; but instead of withdrawing; the Athenians sent another hundred ships and another 5,000 troops to Sicily. Under Gylippus, the Syracusans and their allies were able to decisively defeat the Athenians on land; and Gylippus encouraged the Syracusans to build a navy, which was able to defeat the Athenian fleet when they attempted to withdraw. The Athenian army, attempting to withdraw overland to other, more friendly Sicilian cities, was divided and defeated; the entire Athenian fleet was destroyed, and virtually the entire Athenian army was sold off into slavery.
